Soft, lightweight and comfortable! Great product that compares well to workout dance pants at twice the price. I'm 5'9 and 34" waist, so the medium fit great - drawstring adjusts well. Good unisex choice. Suggest adding some colors other than black and white. I think Cami would be a big hit, too.

In class, I usually practice in a leotard and tights, but I don't always feel like getting all that on for doing some quick practice at home, so I bought these pants just to have something light and easy to wear. The fit is not fantastic for me -- it's very straight, while I'm very curvy. So it'll fit all right in some spots (calves, knees, most of my thighs), and then when it comes to my hips and butt, it's very tight. Seems all right when up and moving around, but when sitting, it's a bit constricting. Probably a good fit for straighter figures, but if you've got some hip on you, I don't recommend these.I bought these on sale, and I wouldn't pay full price for them. Before even wearing them, just pulling them out of the package, I already noticed threads escaping in multiple places. There are a few areas (especially on the crotch) where it appears the threads haven't broken and escaped since manufacture so much as broken threads and loops of thread were just sewn over during manufacture. I'm afraid to ever wash these -- I think they'll disintegrate. The fabric is EXTREMELY light. Very good for keeping cool while dancing, but contributing to the overall flimsiness of the piece. If you've got [$] to burn and aren't particular about how you spend it, these are good enough. If you're looking for a serious piece of dancewear that is durable and will last for more than a few weeks or a few washings, don't get these.

Comments about Urban Groove Hip-Hop Cargo Pants:
I bought the XL because I have really large thighs. I'm 5'4 so the length is too long and the waist too big, but the drawstrings in the waist and legs fix that problem. The thighs fit great, I can do squats with no problem. The material is light so they are great for working out in.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought a large amount of these for my Winter Guard group that was a doing a hip hop routine. Unfortunatley, the sizing chart is at least one size off, on some it was two sizes. We can't return them because our performance is Tuesday and we just received them on Friday. It is frustrating when I thought one pair might be too small on one of the girls and it turns out it was two sizes too big. You definitely need to check the sizing chart on these.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This will be used as a costume for one of our competition dances. The size chart did not correctly indicate the sizes we should order. Also, we had to order size up for the tall, thin girls because the inseam didn't seem long enough and when they tried the pants on, they were huge. We were able to have the girls switch around the pants until we got it down to 6 that had to be sent back for a different size. Your return policy and no charge for shipping is excellent. Customer service great too.
So Comfortable and Fit Perfectly

These pants are so comfortable!! I got the medium -- I'm 5'9'' with a 26'' waist. Couldn't be happier with the fit. The length is perfect too. I could buy a pair in every color and live in them!

About Me Professional Dancer
This is a nice product for the price, i like these, here's what you can expect, fabric is soft, breathable, quite thin, color is great, pockets are flush with the leg, not chunky like casual cargo pants, drawstrings on waist and ankles are like thick round athletic shoelaces, legs are very baggy, button and zipper are there but I suspect mostly for looks, I am 5'0, 97lbs, 32C, 24waist,34 hip, ordered adult small according to chart and fit is good. For the price these are a good value.

Hip Hop Pants--not a good fit

About Me Dance Instructor
The pants looked very different in the photo. The students really did not like the overall fit. Legs too long and too big. Waist was too tight.
To measure girth, place tape measure on center of right shoulder, run through crotch and back to right shoulder loosely (as shown in diagram).
Remember, the girth is the most important measurement.
When in doubt, let the girth measurement determine size.
